Gloucester City will welcome highflyers Darlington to Tiger Turf Stadium today with kick off scheduled for 3pm.
City head into the game in good spirits following a 0-1 victory away at Kettering Town last Tuesday thanks to a stoppage time winner from Michael Gyasi.
Form:
Tuesday’s win saw Steven King’s men get back on track following the previous defeat move up to 10th position in the league with the play off places well in sight. Darlington on the other hand are unbeaten in their last four games with their latest win coming against Curzon Ashton also on Tuesday night.
It was disappointment for City the last time they played The Quakers all the way back in August where they were on the wrong end of a 3-1 defeat. Therefore, City will be wanting to put the past behind them and get the win.
Today’s game will no doubt be a huge test for City and one which they will needed to overcome if they are to edge ever closer to their playoff ambitions.
Players to watch:
City’s defence will be aware of Darlington’s attacking strengths with centre forward Mark Beck netting 11 so far this season. Tricky midfielder Jack Lambert will also be a threat for the visitors after currently scoring six goals this campaign.
