Gloucester City host AFC Fylde on Saturday afternoon, hoping to start December on a positive note after a
difficult November.
City currently sit 10th in the National League North, just three points off the play-off spots, where they
will be hoping to become a mainstay during December.
Here is the state of affairs for both sides heading into this weekend’s clash:
Form:
City come into the clash with one win in five league matches, the three points coming in their most
recent match away to Kidderminster Harriers, following four straight defeats previously.
A win against Fylde would take City within one point of their opponents. Fylde are on a staggering run, having won all of their last five league games, a run Gloucester will be looking to halt.
The visitors currently sit sixth in the league, with three less games played compared to the sides around them, and so will be keen to strengthen their position against City on Saturday.
Key Players:
Gloucester will have to be wary of Fylde’s key man Nick Haughton, who has netted 12 goals in 17
games from midfield for the visitors, and could cause problems for City’s back line.
