Gloucester City are delighted to announce that Kieran Phillips has joined the club, becoming City's fifth signing of the summer.

The striker left Bristol Rovers at the end of last season, having featured in the EFL Trophy against Oxford United while at The Gas and also making regular appearances for the U23's. The 19-year-old scored 17 goals in 30 games while on loan at Swindon Supermarine in the Southern League last campaign.
Phillips has also had spells out on loan at Dorchester Town and Chippenham Town, scoring twice on his debut for the former and making four appearances in the National League South for the latter.
Scoring goals against Bishops Cleeve, Hungerford and Cinderford, Phillips has featured regularly for City throughout pre-season as a trialist and has now joined the club on a permanent basis.
After putting pen to paper for the upcoming 2022/23 campaign, Phillips said: "I'm delighted, it's been a long time coming. I've enjoyed my time over pre-season, training with the lads and getting to know everyone - I'm ready to get going now."

Great signing for the Tigers! Phillips' record at Swindon Supermarine — 17 goals in 30 games — shows a real striker's instinct, and his goals against Bishops Cleeve, Hungerford and Cinderford in pre-season suggest he is ready to hit the ground running. Wishing him and Gloucester City all the best for the 2022/23 campaign. Off the pitch, I have been spending my evenings learning a few terrace anthems on this free virtual piano keyboard — a handy way to keep the fingers busy between matchdays.
Welcome to City, Kieran! Seventeen goals in thirty games at Swindon Supermarine is a strong return, and the loan spells at Dorchester and Chippenham should have given him a solid grounding at this level. Hopefully he carries that scoring form into the new season at the KMM Energy Stadium. On a separate note, I have been using AI OCR to digitise old matchday programmes and paper tickets straight in the browser, which has been a real time-saver.
