JAS SINGH RETURNS TO CITY ON LOAN FROM TAMWORTH
Gloucester City AFC are delighted to announce the return of experienced goalkeeper Jas Singh, who joins the club on a one-month loan deal from National League side Tamworth FC.
The 36-year-old shot-stopper returns to the Tigers for the first time since the 2016/17 season, having previously enjoyed two spells with the club.
Singh initially joined City on loan from Kidderminster Harriers during the 2014/15 campaign before returning on a permanent basis in the summer of 2015. He spent two further seasons with the Tigers before departing for AFC Telford United in 2017.
Since leaving City, Singh has established himself as a highly respected goalkeeper in non-league football, enjoying considerable success with Tamworth and playing an instrumental role in the Lambs' rise to the National League.
The experienced goalkeeper also featured in Tamworth's memorable Emirates FA Cup Third Round tie against Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur in January 2025, producing an impressive performance as the Lambs held Spurs goalless for 90 minutes before eventually falling to a 3-0 defeat after extra time.
Known for his commanding presence, leadership and shot-stopping ability, Singh brings a wealth of experience to Dafydd Williams' squad as City prepare for a busy period of fixtures.
His arrival provides further strength to the goalkeeping department, with the added benefit of already being familiar with the club and its supporters.
"Delighted to get Jaz in for the month" said first-team manager Daf Williams.
"Highly experienced individual, who has performed consistently at a higher level over many years. Not only will he bring quality in his time with us but also leadership which we need in the situation we find ourselves in.
"He will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the group on and off the pitch and I’m looking forward to working closely with him."
Everyone at Gloucester City AFC would like to welcome Jas back to the club and wish him every success during his loan spell.
Welcome back to City, Jas!
