Community | Making special memories and embracing our local grassroots clubs

An extremely popular aspect of our matchday experience here at The KMM Energy Stadium is our Community Club Mascot Package.

For each home game we invite a local grassroots club along to sample at close-quarters the thrill of a matchday.

The youngsters get a tour of the dressing room, the chance to meet the players and coaching staff and then walk out with the team ahead of the match.

They also have the opportunity to take part in activities on the pitch as part of the half-time entertainment.

This package has proved extremely popular, not only amongst those youngsters involved but also their coaches and parents.

“The boys had an amazing day and are still buzzing about it,” said Simon Bullock, Head Coach of FC Highnam U12s, who were with us at our last home game against Havant & Waterlooville in the Isuzu FA Trophy. “The chance to go into the dressing room and chat to the players meant the world to them.

“Then walking out to the roar of the crowd and watching the game from the T-End, where they gave City plenty of vocal encouragement, was all part of the excitement of the day.

“We were all looked after extremely well by the club and made to feel really welcome. This kind of community engagement is so important; I know that a lot of my team really look up to the City players, so be able to have this kind of access is fantastic and credit to the club for running this scheme.

“It has inspired some of the youngsters and their parents to return to future matches and our visit will be talked about amongst the team for some time to come, I’m sure!”

The majority of home games between now and the end of the season are already taken, but please contact: matchday@gcafc.co.uk for availability.

As part of the continued growth of the Gloucester City AFC Foundation, we would like to invite grassroots clubs who provide football for communities in Gloucester to join our Gloucester City AFC Community Club Partnership.

The aim is to help these clubs as much as we can to develop their club and their players to ensure that they become a long-lasting, robust and stable part of the wider Gloucester football community and give as many young people the opportunity to play as possible.

Clubs who sign up to the Community Club Partnership will receive:

-        2 x group coach CPD sessions per season at Gloucester City AFC’s stadium;

-        The opportunity for up to 30 children to be mascots and flag bearers at a Gloucester City AFC men’s or women’s home game;

-        10 x Free match tickets for parents and siblings;

-        Your club is invited to enter youth teams into the GCAFC Foundation Fundraising Day at Gloucester City AFC to be held in the summer.

All we ask in return is for partnering clubs to feature our Foundation logo on their website and socials, opt in to receive communications from us, and guarantee that they will attend our Fundraising Day in May 2026.
