Chris Hill Appeal

Here at Gloucester City AFC, we want to raise awareness about household fires following the tragic events that have happened to our Club Secretary and Women’s First-Team Manager Chris Hill in recent weeks.

Chris sadly suffered a huge house fire in the early hours of the morning a few weeks ago, which has resulted in him and his family moving into temporary accommodation at the local YMCA, alongside losing all of their belongings and personal possessions. Luckily no one was seriously hurt, with Chris's son being discharged from hospital the following day with burn injuries to his feet.

As well as losing all of his own valuables, paperwork and documents were also unfortunately lost in the fire, along with other personal items such as wedding photos, and keep safe drawings.

Chris did however, heroically, much to his wife’s and the fire fighters dismay, go back into the fire to rescue one thing. Not his wedding day photos or his own personal possessions, or his laptop and kids school clothes, but the Women’s new Kappa playing kit so they could play the following day!

Kate Ambrey, one of our Women’s First-Team players has organised a collection for Chris, with donations going towards a One4All gift card, meaning Chris and his family can spend it on whatever they see fit for their current circumstances.

If any of our supporters can help in any way that would be greatly appreciated. Please make donations to ‘Friends and Family’ followed by kambrey@hotmail.co.uk on PayPal.
