Reaction | City secure three points

City returned to winning ways in the Pitching In Southern League Premier South with a hard-earned 3-2 victory over Havant & Waterlooville at the weekend.

We responded to the loss in our previous outing in the right way by putting in an impressive first half showing in the November sunshine to put ourselves into a commanding position.

Whilst we failed to reach the same heights after the break, we were able to see the game out to secure three points and our tenth victory of the campaign.

“We stopped what was a little bit of a rot having failed to win our previous two League games,” said manager, Daf Williams, at the end. “But with the standards we have in the dressing room, I would have liked us to have been a bit better than we were on Saturday, if I’m being totally honest.

“There were a couple of areas defensively that we need to look at, which we will do over the course of the week ahead, but the lads showed resilience once more at the end to see it out and secure the three points.

“We know that aspects that need attention, but we’ll take the victory and move on to the next game.”
