Reaction | City dip below usual levels

City suffered stoppage time heartbreak at Uxbridge on Saturday as we succumbed to a 4-3 defeat.

“There were so many things outside of our control that had an impact on the game,” said a frustrated Daf Williams. “Were we at our usual levels? No, I don’t think we were. We’ve all got to look at ourselves here because we weren’t quite at it.

“This was the worst we’ve been all season in terms of performance level and intensity. We have to regroup and be ready to approach the next game in the right way and reach the standards that we know we are capable of.

“They’re all tough games in this League regardless of who you are up against and this will be the case at the weekend when we play host to Havant & Waterlooville.

“I’d like to thank the fans for travelling in such good numbers on Saturday; they didn’t stop singing all game and we have to be able to back that on the pitch, as we have done for the majority of the season so far.

“On Saturday they deserved a bit more than we gave them and we’ll be looking to put that right in the next game.”
