Gateshead FC v Gloucester City AFC


Gloucester City will make the long distance travel to Tyneside today where they’ll face National League side Gateshead in the Third round of the FA Trophy at the Gateshead International Stadium. (Kick-off: 7:45pm)

City head into the game following a lengthy break from action after numerous fixture disruptions due to unsuitable weather conditions. Therefore Meaning the last game City played was a home tie against Darlington just over a week ago which ended in a disappointing 2-6 defeat to the visitors.


City find themselves playing todays game after it was discovered Kettering Town fielded an ineligible player in the previous round subsequently meaning The Poppies would be disqualified and City would go through instead.


City head into this game with two wins from their previous four league games. The last victory coming against Kettering Town a Fortnight ago. Gateshead on the other head into this clash with just one win in their last four games teeing up a close encounter between the two outfits.


Players to watch:


City will have to be aware of Gateshead striker Adam Campbell who has an impressive six goals so far this season. City will also have central midfielder Owen Bailey on their radar as the 23-year-old has netted three from the centre of the park so far this campaign.
