Preview | Brackley Town (A)

Gloucester City face a 120 mile round trip to fourth place Brackley Town and will look to continue their

unbeaten run at St James' Park this Saturday.

City currently are on a five game unbeaten run, winning one and drawing four. Steven King's side will look for a huge three points away from home with their opponents sitting in the play off places, and whilst having a fair few players out due to injury or suspension it will be a challenging task to complete.

The Saints currently sit fourth in the league standings and go in to the game off the back of a 1-1 draw against Chester, which was played on the 7th of January. Due to postponements, they have not played since then and will have gone 14 days with no matches.

The hosts have only lost one game at home in the league all season, a 3-0 loss to Farsley Celtic in which they had a man sent off in the fifth minute of the game.

  • Founded in 1890

  • Home Stadium: St James' Park

The Tigers' last visit to St James' Park was a 1-0 loss back in late October, 2021 with the goal coming from now Boreham Wood player, Lee Ndlovu. The hosts are currently on a 16 game unbeaten run in the Vanarama National League North and will be looking to extend this against City this weekend.

Looking forward to this one. Would love City to end Brackley's unbeaten run, and it's almost on my doorstep ! How refreshing.
