City have strengthened our attacking options with the signing of Marcus Day on a dual-registration from National League outfit, Wealdstone.
The 24 year-old is a product of the Bristol City youth ranks, who has since gone on to turn out for the likes of Barry Town United in the JD Cymru Premier, AFC Totton, Taunton Town and Tiverton Town.
“Marcus is a versatile player who can play both centrally and out wide,” said manager, Daf Williams of his latest acquisition. “We’re delighted that we have been able to bring him in; he’s extremely hard working and a great character to add to the dressing room.
“He’s a player that has been on my radar for a while; he’s got some very good attributes that will see him compliment what we already have in the group.
“I’m really looking forward to working closer with Marcus for the period of time that he’s with us.”
The talented Bristolian is relishing the prospect of getting regular game time during his time here at New Meadow Park.
“I can’t wait to get started, to be honest,” he said. “I’ve come here to get minutes and get sharp. The boys are in a really good place and I want to be able to add to that.
“This move all happened very quickly; I liked what I heard from the Gaffer and it’s great to be here.
“I’d describe myself as a tricky player who likes nothing more than to get the fans off their seats and contribute with goals and assists.”
We welcome Marcus Day to New Meadow Park.
