AP UPDATE: NEW SUPPORTERS CLUB

Afternoon all,

Firstly, thank you all for supporting us this weekend, we’ve had good results through-out the club, with both the Men’s and Women’s first teams winning, U21’s and U18’s winning with good results.

Now we’re finally home with fans allowed back in, we’re forming a new Supporters Club within the club. This will support the club, the whole club, from Soccer School to U12’s to U21’s and of course the Men’s and Women’s first teams. The existing Supporters Trust have done a first-class job and we’re so grateful for all their loving support during our exile away from Meadow Park… but we’re now at New Meadow Park… and we now have within the club everything under one banner from the youth, academy, Women’s team and Men’s team, so we’ve grown and progressed a lot.

When the original Supporters Trust was formed it was for the Men’s first team only, as the youth and what was Ladies section then were completely separate from the club. Yes, they may have had the same kits at times, but completely separate legal and footballing entities with the FA, we’ve gone from around 30 people when I first joined the club in 2018 to over 400, so we need to progress and move with our new surroundings.

The new Supporters Club will be formed with representation from across all parts of the club, this will hopefully bring more new blood in the set up and lead to one heck of a Christmas party if nothing else. The existing Trust board have all agreed to be the new Supporters Club board until new /additional people across the whole club step forward. The goals are very much the same as the original Supporters’ Trust, to help and support the club to keep progressing, with all existing Trust memberships being transferred over to the new Supporters Club, with no need for anyone to action anything and yes, with no need to pay any additional joining fees for this this season. I’ll leave the current Supporters Trust board to conclude the existing trust matters and make this a seamless move for all. There will be a Quiz and Curry Night arranged in the 1883 Bar by the current Trust to pass on the baton, for a better phrase, on the 3rd September 2021.

The Supporters Club will support the club by arranging fund rising events, match day volunteers… to which we need a number, so please help! New Club members will get 10% off in the Club Shop and Bar, they will get invited to Meet the Player events, priority access to tickets, access to all U16’s and below for free, access to become match day mascots for the Junior Tigers and much more as we grow and develop. Other benefits will include a discount at our partnering businesses, for example 10% discount on skips via Keyway. So this really is about the local community, supporting and helping each other.

I truly mean this … thank you to everyone that stuck by us. See you at the Kettering game on Bank Holiday Monday!

If you want to support and volunteer for the Kettering game, and yes, that means you get a free ticket, but you do need to help us undertake the role of course, we really do need you, please email info@gcafc.co.uk copy in safety@gcafc.co.uk

This really is a positive and great step for the club as a whole, so thank you all for supporting us over the years, but we now look forward. To join please email info@gcafc.co.uk however we’ll put the joining form and details on our website and social media.

Ever Forward!
