Mid-Season Squad Update

Here at GCAFC we want to give you fans a mid-season update on our squad and where it sits now as we cross the halfway point in our 2024/2025 campaign.
Luca Robinson has left the club by mutual consent, purely because he wants to play regular football, and we want to wish him well on his next footballing endeavours.
Mekhai Bessasa-Grant who was originally on loan from Oxford City FC has returned to his parent club, following the injury he picked up earlier on in the season.
Jamie Creed is still playing for our youth side, whilst being at Hartpury College and playing for Gala Wilton, to up his first-team footballing minutes.
As mentioned before we have parted ways with Jamie Reckord and we wish him well in his future endeavours.
Jaxson Hundt and Ty Lake have signed on dual registration for Cinderford Town FC to gain more experience of playing mens football.
And finally Jake Evans' loan from Chippenham is due to expire on the 23rd January, however we are currently in talks with the Bluebirds to try and extend his loan further.
This is a helpful update on GCAFC's squad changes. It's good to see transparency with player movements like Luca's departure and loan expirations. Developing young talent, similar to mastering the perfect pizza in Papa's Pizzeria , takes time and experience. Sending players like Jaxson and Ty to Cinderford Town seems like a smart move. Hopefully, extending Jake Evans' loan works out. Keep us updated!
