Gloucester City ran out 3-1 winners against Tiverton Town in the Tigers’ first Friday night home match in 25 years.
City opened the scoring on seven minutes, with debutant Curtis Jemmett-Hutson heading home off the post.
Tiverton almost hit back instantly through ex-City man Joe Parker, but his effort crashed off the bar.
However Parker did get his goal in the 25th minute, with a brilliant curling effort into the top right, giving Luke Bell no chance in the City goal.
Into the second half, and City sparked into life 10 minutes in, with two goals in quick succession from Ed Williams and Brandon Smalley.
3-1 was how it ended, and City pick up a much-needed three points in front of a season high 1,809 fans.
City return home next week to play fellow play-off contenders Dorchester Town on Saturday, April 5.

This is an excellent, detailed match report! It really captures the dramatic shifts of the game, especially how Tiverton's early threat hit the bar before they opened the scoring, and how City spectacularly sparked back to life in the second half. Grabbing those much-needed three points in front of a season-high crowd of over 1,800 fans is massive for team momentum.
