KINGYS AT THE WHEEL

Manager Steven King arrived on the Gloucester City side-lines with a big reputation and known for his style on and off the pitch, so much in fact he is known affectionately as the "Clobber King". Inheriting a team decimated by injury he has master minded the kind of form that see City just a point from the playoffs.

CEO Jay Marriott had this to say:

Steven has been nothing short of incredible coming into the building, it's not been an easy ride for him and he embraced the task at hand both whole heartedly and with speed. The squad has been re-shaped and smaller but his recruitment has seen quality coming into the building and won't bring in players just to fill a squad. It's been fascinating to see him at work.

As King shapes his team we have seen stars come to the forefront most notably attacking midfielder Dom McHale but there is still patience needed as he looks to continue to build the squad and instil that winning mentality. Change has been a plenty and a painful necessity to get to the next level with changes including Michael Gyasi who got whisked away to the next level, a success story in some ways but someone that will be sorely missed.

Manager Steven King had this to say:

With all the injuries and change I'm proud of the boys, to be in the position we are in is a testament of their hard work. My first thought is always 50 points to secure us in the division and then after that we give it the best we can. Fans have been second to none, giving us everything which I am thankful for. You can see the hard work of Junior and Barnes and the team taking shape, it's filling the lads with confidence.

On the other hand our successes that include the enigmatic McHale are Junior Tiensia, Tope Obadeyi and Dara Dada. The arrival of JJ Hooper has certainly signified some excitement also.

As we look forward there is one thing we can be sure of...KINGY IS AT THE WHEEL!
