Internship Opportunity | Remote Performance Analyst

Gloucester City AFC have an internship opportunity for a Remote Performance Analyst on voluntary basis.

Job Description

To provide high-quality remote performance analysis to support the first team’s technical and tactical development. The role involves collecting and analysing data and video using platforms such as Hudl and Wyscout, with insights made accessible to coaches and players to support match preparation,

player development, and opposition analysis.

Key responsibilities:

Match Analysis

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of all matches using Hudl, with focus areas outlined by the Head of Analysis

• Produce detailed pre-match and post-match reports to support tactical planning and

performance review

• Assist in the preparation of scouting reports to inform match strategy and opposition

preparation

• Collect, manage, and archive matchday performance statistics throughout the season for ongoing reference

Individual Analysis

• Support the creation and monitoring of individual player development plans through the use of video and statistical data

• Compile and distribute personalised highlight packages for each player via Hudl to support reflection and growth

• Perform in-depth technical and tactical analysis of individual player performances across the season

Required Skills & Attributes

• Basic understanding of football tactics, systems, and player roles.

• Familiarity with using Hudl and/or Wyscout for video and performance analysis (training or

coursework experience acceptable).

• Strong interest in football performance analysis and a desire to develop professionally in this field.

• Ability to interpret and present data and video insights clearly and concisely.

• Good organisational skills for handling footage, reports, and statistics.

• Reliable and self-motivated, with the ability to manage tasks independently in a remote

environment.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.Desirable Skills & Experience

• Previous experience (e.g. internship, volunteer work, university projects) in a performance

analysis or coaching environment.

• Exposure to individual player development plans or technical reporting.

• Experience creating basic highlight reels or visual breakdowns of games.

• Familiarity with analysis tools such as Hudl and Wyscout.

• A relevant degree or current study in Sports Science, Performance Analysis, Coaching, or a related discipline.
