Gloucester City AFC is delighted to welcome back Daf Williams as our new First Team Manager.
Daf leaves his role as Assistant Manager at EFL 2 side Newport County to join City full time, having taken over as the Exile’s caretaker manager for the final games of the season. He will be a familiar face to City fans, having previously been at the club during the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons as Assistant to Lee Mansell.
Upon returning to City, Daf said: ‘I’m absolutely delighted to be back, I know what this football club is about having had a great experience here previously. It was a difficult decision to leave Newport County but it was made a lot easier by having the opportunity to come to Gloucester City. I’m really excited for the future.’
Chairman Colin Taylor said: ‘When it became clear that Daf was interested we didn’t hesitate to make the appointment. He is an ambitious manager and will bring the fresh approach we need. He has the full support of the board and we hope the fans share our excitement and positivity for the coming season’
