As a welcoming, inclusive, family football club we are dismayed that those in attendance were subjected to this, but we would like to express our gratitude to those who confronted the individual on the day.
We are carrying out an internal investigation to identify the perpetrator and we will be taking appropriate action to ensure that they don’t return.
We do not condone abusive language or hate speech of any kind and we have a zero tolerance policy where this concerned.

The recent statement from Gloucester City AFC regarding the incident of racist language is a crucial reminder of the responsibility sports clubs have towards their communities. It's heartening to see the club's commitment to a zero tolerance policy and the proactive steps they are taking to address this issue. This incident highlights the importance of maintaining an inclusive environment for all fans, which is essential in fostering a positive community spirit. It's really disappointing to read the club's floor plan maker about the racist language used at the match, especially for a club that prides itself on being a welcoming, family environment. I'm glad they're taking this seriously with an internal investigation and won't let the person return. It's also good to see that other fans stepped up to confront the individual on the day, which says a lot about the majority of supporters.
