Club Statement: Change to Stadium Layout

Gloucester City can announce major reconfiguration works which will be taking place at the TigerTurf Stadium over the summer in preparation for the 25/26 Season.

The most significant works will be to the pitch, which will be undergoing an ‘aspect ratio conversion’, the first of its kind in the UK as of today’s date. This will change the stadium layout from its current landscape format into one which is more suited to a ‘vertical’ viewing angle.

Chairman Colin Taylor said:

‘It’s important that we check the date and keep up with current trends, and with the growth we have seen on social media it makes sense to adapt the stadium to fit the aspect ratio, rather than going to the effort of just rotating the camera. At a cost of £1.04M this is a big investment and hopefully it will be paid off by our 200th anniversary in 2083.’
