FA Cup Second Round Replay

City’s best ever performance in the FA Cup came back in 1989. A Fourth Qualifying round win away at Folkestone set up a fortuitous home tie against fellow Beazer Homes side Dorchester Town in the First Round Proper, with City progressing 1-0 all thanks to a Steve Talboys winner.

This set up a mouth watering Second Round trip to Ninian Park, home of Cardiff City who were then in the old Division Three. City travelled in numbers and the team didn’t disappoint, Steve Talboys and Chris Townsend putting City two goals up in style, but Cardiff made a late comeback and clawed their way back into the game thanks to two goals from teenager Morrys Scott in the last five minutes.

The replay on the following Tuesday night saw an attendance record at the time, with 3877 packed into Meadow Park. But it wasn’t to be and Scott once again proved to be the thorn in City’s side as his first half goal proved to be the winner.

Wow, that Gloucester City vs. Cardiff City game sounds intense! A real FA Cup classic. Speaking of comparing things, it's interesting how fan bases engage in charactercomparison, debating who's the most popular character. A different kind of competition, I guess!

Trap The Cat, a seemingly simple game, gave me a headache. The cat was quick-witted, and I kept struggling with the empty squares.
