Gloucester City are delighted to confirm the signing of imposing defender Ben Morgan for the 2025/26 season.
Ben joins the club for his third spell, having originally joined in 2020/21, departing with City top of the table when the season was cut short, and then again in 2022/23 when he captained City to the playoff eliminators, making 63 appearances in total.
Ben, 26, said: ‘It feels good to be back, I didn’t want to leave the last time and now things are looking positive at the club again it’s something I’m happy to be a part of. When Daf became manager we had a conversation and if there was one man that I would come back for it’s Daf.’
Manager Daf Williams said: ‘Ben is no stranger to Gloucester City AFC. He’s had two successful spells here previously in the league above and he’s extremely determined to make that a third. I’ve known Ben for a long time, and he brings a lot to the table. Good attributes with and without the ball, as well as leadership qualities. We’ve worked well together in the past, he understands and displays the standards I expect and therefore will be an important player for this club moving forward.’

I was thrilled and a little emotional to hear that Ben Morgan was returning to Gloucester City for the third time, not only as a great player but also as someone with a deep affection for the That's Not My Neighbor club.
