Sion Spence returns to City

Gloucester City AFC are delighted to welcome attacking-midfielder Sion Spence back to the club for the 2025/26 season.

Spence, 24, previously played had a spell at the club during the 2022/23 season, which saw us reach the National League North play-off eliminator against Brackley Town, scoring the equaliser to take the game to extra-time in the 101st minute of normal time.

The welshman had this to say on his return to the Tigers: "I've been here before and had a very successful time here and I really enjoyed it. I have been at different clubs throughout the last couple of years and I think that this is the best opportunity for me and I like the way that Daf is creating the team, so I am really hopeful that we can go on and have a really successful season."

Manager Daf Williams had this to say on our newest recruit: "Sion is a player I know very well, one I brought to the club a few years ago. He’s proved he can perform to a high level in the league above, and I believe he can regain that form here with us again. He’s an intelligent player, creative, and exactly the type of midfielder we were looking for. I’m looking forward to watching him in a Gloucester City AFC shirt again and being a part of this exciting journey."

Sion is sponsored by Zesta Planning for the upcoming season, message us on social media or email commercial@gcafc.co.uk to enquire player, staff and social media sponsorship.

I think it's okay to play these kinds of games every once in a while because they help you relax, but it's not a good idea to do it so often that you forget about other things you need to do. nytimes crossword
