Preview | The battle for vital League points resumes

City return to the battle for Premier South points on Saturday as we take on Hungerford Town at the KMM Energy Stadium.

We will be looking to step into Christmas on the back of a positive result as we take on opponents who tasted victory for the first time in three months on Tuesday evening as they chalked up a 3-1 win at Hanwell Town.

“We’re looking forward to resuming our quest for League points,” said manager, Daf Williams. “After the highs of last weekend in the FA Trophy, it was disappointing to see Tuesday’s game at Tiverton Town postponed.

“Whilst it is nice to have a Cup run, the League is our priority and Saturday’s game will be a tough one for us. Hungerford will certainly arrive here full of confidence and, as any manager at this level will tell you, games against them are always difficult.

“In Danny Robinson they have a top manager with plenty of experience, so we know that we’re going to have to be at our best to get a result on Saturday.

“The backing of the City fans will be important to give us the edge, as it did last weekend. The players are working incredibly hard and with the supporters right behind them, it will give us the best possible chance of getting the result we all crave.”

City will be boosted by Ben Morgan returning after illness, whilst Sopuruchukwu Obieri is back after suffering a minor injury, and Aaron Wildig continues to top up his workload having returned to the bench last weekend. There will also be a return from suspension for King Baidoo and Kane Simpson is available again having been Cup-tied last weekend.

Come and show your support in this pre-Christmas clash. Tickets are on sale here...

We’ll also have delicious hot and cold food and drink, plus a printed Matchday Programme. What’s not to love about that?
