City hit the road once more on Saturday as we head to Wimborne Town (kick-off 3pm).

The two teams go into the game having lost both of our opening fixtures, so this is an opportunity to get the first points on the board.

“The first two results have been really disappointing,” said defender, Ben Nugent, who returned to the club over the summer. “We’ve not been able to take our pre-season performances into the start of the season and that’s something that we’re working hard to rectify.

“It’s about us all getting together, digging in and get ourselves moving in the right direction. We’re the only ones who can do it and we have to keep working hard and pulling in the same direction so that we can get to where we want to be.

“The start of the second half killed us at Bracknell on Tuesday. We were positive at half-time, but allowed them to have a spell on top, in which we were punished. We kept knocking on the door in the final 15-20 minutes, but just couldn’t get there.

“As I say, we need everyone together and we need the fans behind us now more than ever. I have no doubt that we’ll get through this slow start and hopefully we can get things moving at the weekend against opponents who, like ourselves, have started slower than they would have liked going into the season.”
