City boss, Daf Williams, is seeking the right response from his team as we head to Dorchester Town on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
Easter Monday saw five of the top six all lose their respective games as we went down to a 2-0 home reverse at the hands of Taunton Town.
Just like on that occasion, this weekend we face opponents who are battling to avoid the drop with Dorchester sat three off the bottom and four points from safety going into the weekend.
“It was really disappointing on Monday,” admitted Williams. “It was a game in which we were unable to take our moments and our opponents did at crucial times.
“For large parts of the first half we were happy with what we were doing and, to be honest, I’m not sure how we’ve not scored.
“But they went ahead and once they got a second, we were poor after that. Credit to Taunton because they defended their goal well and we were unable to find a way through.
“I can only thank the fans for their support. They turned up in good numbers and really got behind us. There are three games to go and my message remains; stick with us and we’ll be doing all we can to end the season strongly.
“Teams are fighting for everything now. Dorchester are down there batting for points, they will be tough, but we go there with a plan, determined to build some momentum from these final games to take into the play-offs.”
