City head to Yate Town on Saturday in a game that will have a bearing at both ends of the table.
Whilst we push to secure second spot, our hosts still need the points to confirm their Premier South status.
It has all the ingredients to be an entertaining encounter, one that we go into on the back of a commanding 5-0 triumph at Dorchester Town last weekend.
“It was a dominant performance,” said Kane Simpson, who added to his impressive goalscoring tally this season with two of our goals. “We got ourselves into a big lead during the first half and then after the break we managed the game well.
“I should have got a hat-trick, but I’ll take the two goals and, importantly, the three points and a return to winning ways.
“The travelling City fans were behind us every step of the way and that performance and result was for them.
“They have such a key role to play, both at Yate on Saturday as we hit the road once more and then in the play-offs where we will have home advantage in the semi-final.
“We’ll be looking to make that home advantage count, but before that we want to end the regular season with a couple of strong performances, starting on Saturday where we face opponents who are battling for the points to secure their safety.
“It’ll be a hard-fought game, but we’re looking forward to it.”
Please note that it is all-ticket for City supporters. A minimal number remain, which must be purchased in advance of matchday, here…
