Preview | City ready for battle

City return to home action at the KMM Energy Stadium on Saturday with the visit of Tiverton Town (kick-off 3pm).

Both teams are desperate for the points for different reasons. For City we will be looking to secure our first win of 2026 to maintain our challenge amongst the leading pack, whilst for our Devon opponents, they are looking to keep in touch with those clubs above them as they sit bottom of the table.

This will be the first time that the two clubs have locked horns this season, with our away trip scheduled for next month.

Recent loan signing, Morgan Lewis, is hoping to be involved having been unable to figure in our last outing due to international clearance not being received.

“I can’t wait to be able to get into action and stuck into the challenge ahead here,” he said. “It’s a great opportunity for me to test myself, get regular minutes and contribute to a strong group.

“I’m ready to work hard to help the team achieve its goals come the end of the season.

“Speaking to Daf was a huge factor for me. He was really positive and clear about what he expects from the team and the direction the club is heading in.

“Everyone I’ve spoken to has spoken incredibly highly of the club and the fans, and that definitely influenced my decision to come here.

“The strength of the squad and the club’s ambitions also stood out. It just felt like the right place for me to come in, enjoy my football and hopefully make a real contribution over the next few months.”
