To see an attendance of over 1,900 at our last home game on what was a filthy night weather-wise, just shows the fantastic level of support that we are so fortunate to have here.
The City faithful have received plenty of praise this week, with manager, Daf Williams, and Chairman, Colin Taylor, leading the chorus.
“The highlight of Friday night was most definitely the support we received,” said Williams. “To have 1,907 supporters at the game despite the weather conditions was absolutely incredible.
“I have said it on many occasions, but our fan base is truly one of a kind and by far the best at this level.
“Not only that, each one of you were in full voice, and it was a real joy to be a part of. I believe the potential at this football club is huge, and nights like last Friday is evidence of that.
“I see no reason why we’re unable to reproduce close to those numbers regularly and create a similar atmosphere on a weekly basis.
“We will continue to do everything we can to make you proud of your team.”
Chairman, Colin Taylor, was equally as glowing.
“To have 1,907 supporters inside the ground in such terrible weather conditions was nothing short of remarkable,” he said. “Your loyalty and passion, even when the elements were against us, speaks volumes about the strength of this community.
“We never take that support for granted, and it gives the players a huge lift every time they step onto the pitch.
“It’s going to be so important for us as we step into a busy schedule with some crucial League games on the horizon and Saturday’s FA Trophy tie against high-flying opponents from the level above.
“Knockout football is about desire and big moments, and with the backing of our supporters, I’m confident the lads will give everything to progress.”
Admission prices have been reduced for Saturday’s game against a Worthing side who sit amongst the front-runners of The National League South.
They are: Adult: £10 | Concession: £5 | Student/Youth: £5 | U12s: FREE
Please note that season-tickets are NOT valid for this game.
