Bristol City youngster Zack Ali signs for City on loan until end of season

Gloucester City AFC are delighted to announce the signing of defender Zack Ali, on-loan from Bristol City, until the end of the season.

Ali, 20, signed a pro-deal at the Sky Bet EFL Championship side in the summer of 2024, after being at the club since Under-10 level. Ali has represented his nation, Wales, at youth level multiple times and is also a regular starter for Bristol City under-21's in the Professional Development League and the Premier League Cup.

“Really pleased to have Zack join us on loan till the end of the season" said manager, Daf Williams, on his latest incoming. "Zack’s versatility, quality, and work rate makes him a really good addition to the group. He’s a player that’s been on my radar for a while and I’ve watched him on a number of occasions this season for Bristol City U21s."

"He’s a left footed player who has come through the system playing as a left back and over the last year or so played in midfield as both a 6 or a 8.”

The highly rated youngster's versatility is one that separates him from others, being able to play across the back-line as well as in midfield is a trait that is highly sort after.
