Bangladesh international Cuba Mitchell signs for City

City have added to our midfield options with the signing of the highly-rated Cuba Mitchell.
The 20 year-old is a versatile and technically-gifted performer who was born in Birmingham and cut his football teeth within the Academy ranks at St. Andrews.
Snapped up by Sunderland in 2022, where his progress continued before he was handed a first professional contract two years later.
Called up to represent Bangladesh at international level, initially with the U23s and then the senior team, he made the move to Bashundhara Kings of the Bangladesh League during the summer before departing the club at the turn of this year.
“Cuba is a central midfielder who can play a number of roles middle of the pitch,” said manager, Daf Williams, of his latest acquisition. “He plays with energy, high intensity and has good ability on the ball.
“I’m really looking forward to working closer with Cuba in what is an important stage of the season for us all as a group.”
