Young people aged between 16 and 18 can apply to study on our Football Education Programmes in partnership with St Peter’s High School. The programmes provide talented and enthusiastic youngsters with the opportunity to train and play as a football scholar in tandem with their academic studies.
The programme sees the students participate in a number of academic studies alongside a football scholarship run by Gloucester City AFC. The programme is designed to give young people not only skill development of their game but excellent academic qualifications that can take them into universities, overseas education, employment and work places.
Participants will have opportunities to study at university, receive football scholarships abroad and look to turn professional with the club.

Club Philosophy
We have a club philosophy with age-appropriate guidelines and principles for cultivating independence, creativity and motivation which are the cornerstones of our approach. The ultimate object of our holistic concept, which treats football, school, career and social relations as a single entity, is to provide general principles and precise instructions for coaches at each age and ability level.
The stated goal of our training and development work is to comprehensively transform athletically gifted children into creative players with excellent game action speed and professional potential.
Youth players should emerge from our development scheme as resilient team players with great strength of character. We also want to inspire them to be lifelong learners and to prepare them for life.
