Gloucester City are pleased to announce the signing of Daniel Leadbitter from Newport County, who joins on loan until the end of the season.
The 29 year old , who plays primarily as a full-back but can also operate across the defence, joins after a recent loan spell with National League side Yeovil Town.
Leadbitter started his career at Newcastle United's Academy and signed for League Two's Torquay United in 2011. He made 17 appearances for the Devon club before switching to Hereford United. He was a regular in the Bulls first eleven and his impressive performances in the Conference saw him snapped up by Bristol Rovers.
He spent five seasons with the Gas, winning two promotions and featuring almost 150 times. After the end of his contract he moved to Rodney Parade, playing six times last season for Newport before moving out on loan to Yeovil where he was a regular in the Glovers squad.
