Gloucester City are pleased to announce the signing of Gold Omotayo. 
The 27 year old forward joins the Club after impressing in trial following his release from FC Halifax Town. 
Swiss born Omotayo started his career at FC Zurich, originally as a goalkeeper, before appearances at Swiss sides FC Schlieren and Wettswil as a striker. He then left Switzerland for England and signed for then National South side Whitehawk in December 2017. Despite Whitehawk's relegation, he scored 11 goals in 16 appearances. 
His goalscoring feat got the attention of bigger clubs and he subsequently moved into League Football the following season with a transfer to Bury, where he made 17 appearances - scoring on his EFL debut against Yeovil Town . A loan stint at Maidstone followed before a one season stay at Yeovil and then Halifax. 
Gold will be available for selection for next Tuesday's League encounter at Alfreton Town.
