Paul Groves has made his first foray into the transfer market with the loan acquisitions of Jack Burroughs and Jordan Young from Coventry City. Both arrive on a month long loan deal.
Burroughs, who is 19, can operate in midfield or as a forward and is a Scottish Under 19 International, scoring his first goal for Scotland against Turkey in a UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualification match. He has made one first team apperance for the Sky Blues this season in the EFL Cup. He appeared twice in the same competition for Coventry last season, also spending time on loan in the Southern Premier League with Nuneaton Borough.
Young, 21, is a midfielder and has been capped for Scotland at youth level. He started his career with Swindon Town, appearing seven times and scoring one goal in League One against Shrewsbury. After an eye catching loan spell in the Southern League at Highworth Town, scoring six times in eight games, he left the Robins and made the switch to Coventry where he has also appeared once this season in the EFL Cup.
Subject to FA clearance, both players may be able to partake in tomorrow's FA Trophy tie at Maldon & Tiptree.
