City youngster Joe Parker is set to join Bishops Cleeve on loan.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe 17-year-old striker who plays for the under 18s and the Development Squad, made his first team debut earlier this season.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nGaffer Dave Mehew said he was keen for Joe to learn from Cleeve boss Alex Sykes and get some senior game time under his belt.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nHe said: “I want to see where we are with Joe, Matt Liddiard came on leaps and bounds from his time at Cleeve, that was clear to see at the Worcester game on Boxing Day, I want to see the same with Joe.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n”He’ll still be involved in the under18s and the Development Squad where games don’t clash with Cleeve.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n”Cleeve had a lot of games to pack in before the end of the season and I have told Syko that Joe isn’t far off Scott Wilson, who is still on dual registration with us and has been doing well at Cinderford and now at Yate.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n”At the end of the season I’ll be able to see where Joe and Scott are and look at bringing them back to the first team.”\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nHaving a trusted and experienced contact in the form of ex-Tigers Alex Sykes and Matt Rose at Bishops Cleeve has proved invaluable for the Gaffer this season.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nHe said: “Syko is great for players like Joe to learn from. With Lidds, the sooner we get a few more wins under our belt the sooner we can bring him back into the squad for the last games of the season.”
