Born 12/09/1984 in Gloucester. Tom has been the heart and soul of City’s midfield for a generation. After making his debut for the club in April 2001, at the age of 16 years 221 days, away at Bromsgrove Rovers other than when he was concentrating on his studies Tom has been pretty much ever present in the team.\r\n\r\nFull of energy and never seeming to tire he always gives his all and occasionally pops up with a goal or two, his first for the club was away at Woking in our famous FA Trophy victory in March 2003. A Gloucester lad, Webb has remained committed to the Tigers although he was almost tempted away to Stafford Rangers for the 2004/05 campaign to study at University and train full time with Crewe Alexandra but he opted to remain at Meadow Park.\r\n\r\nTom’s importance to the team is underlined by the fact that during the 2005/06 campaign he played in every minute of every game, a feat not achieved often in this day and age and as a result he won the ‘Supporter’s Player of the Season’. Tom Webb arrived at Beaufort Community School having completed his GTP in Physical Education at The University of Gloucestershire and attained a BSc (Hons).\r\n\r\nEducated at the Crypt Grammar School where he represented the school at county level in a variety of sports. He was a member of the team that won the Southern Football League play offs with a 1-0 win over Farnborough Town in May 2009.\r\n\r\nIn 2011 Tom surpassed Stan Myers’ all-time appearance record in 2011 which had stood for over 50 years against Chelmsford City with Myers in attendance, a month before his death. On Saturday 20 October 2012 Tom became the first Gloucester player in 130 years to reach 500 competitive appearances a record that may never been beaten, he is Mr. Gloucester City and one of the most popular players in the club’s history.\r\n\r\n
