It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Club favourite Tom Hadler as his loan contract expires and he returns to his parent club, Gillingham.
Despite our wishes to extend his loan until the end of the season, his brilliant form for Gloucester City has seen Gillingham insist on his return to the Priestfield Stadium.
Tom came in to fill the gloves vacated by Alex Harris after a less than assured pre-season and from the outset, Tom’s commanding presence between the posts have contributed to some outstanding performances including the most recent away win at Oxford City.
On Tom’s departure, Marc Richards had this to say, “I would like to say a massive thank you to Tom Hadler. He is a brilliant goalkeeper and has a very bright future. He has been great for us this season but more importantly, he is a really respectful, genuine and honest young man and he will be tough to replace.”
On behalf of the Supporters and everyone involved with Gloucester City, we’d like to extend our gratitude to Tom for his contribution to the Club, wish him all the best in his career and that we one day hope to have him back at Gloucester City.
