Gloucester City Football Club would like to extend our best wishes for a Happy New Year to all our supporters and thank them for their continued support in 2015.\r\n\r\nThis year has seen a lot of progress at the club, we continue to move forward on the ground although we are fully accepting that much of this is technical progress and therefore not immediately apparent outside of the team).\r\n\r\nWe have continued to run the club in a responsible and sustainable fashion thanks to our excellent supporters, sponsors and shareholders.\r\n\r\nChairman Mike Dunstan OBE said “I finish the year hugely proud that we continue to compete at an incredibly high level given our circumstances.\r\n\r\n“I am also proud that we provide real opportunity for football from under-7 level all the way to the National League and that we are out in our community improving lives and opportunities seven days a week.”\r\n\r\nTim Harris said “2015 has been another tough year for everyone at Gloucester City.\r\n\r\n“We are extremely grateful to all those on the Management Board & Supporters Trust and you, the Supporters, who have not given up the fight to see this fantastic football soon return to our home in the City.\r\n\r\n“To continue to compete at the highest level of football we have ever been at in our 130-plus year history is a great achievement given the obstacles we have had to overcome.\r\n\r\n“I would like to specially mentioning the tremendous youth setup and notably the work Kenny Blackburn and Neil Mustoe have done with the Under-18s team this year, who enjoyed tremendous success including an 11 game win streak in league and cup!”\r\n\r\nDunstan continued: “I am looking forward to 2016 and I am very confident that we will have a positive second half of the season and that we will also see real, physical, progress on building the new ground.\r\n\r\n“I would like to thank all those who support the club every game both home and away, and who work so hard to keep this club alive and competitive.\r\n\r\n“From the shareholders, the Management Board, the Supporters Trust, sponsors, and everyone who sees what we are trying to build and roll up their sleeves to get involved.\r\n\r\n“I am grateful for all of the above because without these people we would not have a club to return to Gloucester.”\r\n\r\nHarris finished by saying “On behalf of all the staff, players and myself I wish you all a very healthy, happy and prosperous 2016. See you on Saturday at Aggborough for our visit to Worcester City!”
