Two of Tim Harris’ key players are in line for a return to the starting XI as the Tigers take on Hampton & Richmond at the Jubilee Stadium this evening.
Ed Williams was a late second half substitute against Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday after missing training last week with a heavy cold.
However, the influential forward Williams has fully recovered and could feature in a more prominent role than he did on Saturday afternoon.
Tim Harris has also confirmed that Lewis Hall is in line to make his first start of the season after recovering from a hamstring injury.
Hall suffered a torn hamstring in our final pre-season game with Hereford FC and has been out ever since.
Following a tough week of training and preparation, Hall has completed the rehab process and has been cleared to feature for the Tigers once again.
“We’re delighted that Ed and Lewis are back up to full speed” said Harris. “Ed has been excellent for us the last two seasons and so to have him back is a real boost for us.
“It’s also great news to have Lewis back and rating to go because he is a key part of what we’ve been trying to achieve and have success with, especially last season.
“I’m sure the fans will share in my delight and really come in their numbers to show the boys and this whole football club their support.”
However, Harris will be without Spencer Hamilton after he suffered a knee injury on Saturday afternoon.
Hamilton was stretchered off after 25 minutes after landing awkwardly on his knee and Harris is patiently waiting to find out the extent of the injury.
“We won’t know fully what the extent of the injury is as we are waiting for the swelling to go down before assessing it.
“It’s a shame to lose Spencer because he’s been in excellent form in the first 10 games and we are hoping it’s nothing that will keep him out long term.”
The Tigers welcome Hampton & Richmond to the Jubilee Stadium this evening, kick-off 19:45.
