\r\n\r\nFormer Blackpool, Wigan Athletic and Bradford City star Michael Flynn will be turning out for Gloucester City in their pre-season friendly against Kidderminster Harriers tomorrow evening.\r\n\r\nA veteran of over 300 appearances in the Football League, the 34-year-old is on the lookout for a new club following his release from League Two side Newport County in the summer.\r\n\r\nFlynn can play in midfield or defence and with Tom Webb, Chris Knowles and Jack Harris all injured and Matt Liddiard currently unavailable, he will bolster their ranks ahead for their fourth pre-season friendly, which is being played at Evesham’s Jubilee Stadium Kick off 7.45pm\r\n\r\nHowever, Tigers boss Tim Harris would not be drawn on whether it could lead to something permanent.\r\n\r\n“He’s a good friend of mine, he played for me when he was 17 or 18 at Newport and he made a very good career for himself.\r\n\r\n“I brought him back to Newport to help us get back in the Football League but he was released at the end of last season.\r\n\r\n“He’s a player who should be playing League football or certainly Vanarama National League. He’s going to help us out and we’re going to help him out.\r\n\r\n“I don’t want the players we’ve got who are fit getting too much football it is a balancing act as we are already carrying a few injuries and Mat Liddiard will not be available until 31st August, so I’ve spoken to him and he’s really looking forward to it. Who knows what could happen.”\r\n\r\nFull story: Gloucester Citizen\r\n\r\nThe Tigers face Kidderminster Harriers at Evesham’s Jubilee Stadium tomorrow evening, 7:45pm kick off.
