Gloucester City Football Club have completed the double signing of striker Ethan Moore and full back Keiran Thomas from Cinderford Town.\r\n\r\nMoore, 23, had a prolific season for Town in their title-winning campaign last season, where he was top scorer notching an impressive 29 goals.\r\n\r\nHe started his career with Southampton and moved to Aston Villa as a youngster. He has gone on to have spells with Cheltenham Town, Evesham and Worcester City, where he scored 13 goals in 15 appearances for the latter.\r\n\r\nIt was last season when he really caught the eye of Tim Harris and the Tigers boss is delighted with his new striking option.\r\n\r\nHe said “I have always been aware of Ethan’s ability though over the last 12 months he has shown far more consistency.\r\n\r\n“I am excited to have signed to him and after meeting with him I believe he has a real desire to be as successful with us as he has been at Cinderford Town last season.”\r\n\r\nThe Tigers have also swooped for right back Keiran Thomas, following the retirement of Mike Green.\r\n\r\nThomas, 20, captained the Foresters to the title in the Southern League Division One South and West last season.\r\n\r\nA former Cheltenham Town youth player, Thomas was nearly ever present for the title-winning side during 2015/16, missing only one game\r\n\r\nHarris said “Keiran is an attacking full back strong and determined and I am sure he will prove a good acquisition.\r\n\r\n“He has received several approaches from clubs at our level and his desire to join Gloucester City is a real boost.\r\n\r\n“Both he and Ethan are looking forward to getting started and I feel we can help them both develop their careers.”\r\n\r\nHarris continued, saying “As delighted as I am to sign Ethan and Keiran I am saddened to see what is happening to Cinderford Town at present.\r\n\r\n“So given the age and potential of both players, we have reached an agreement with Cinderford to ensure their contribution to the players’ development will be recognised if they progress to a higher standard.”
