Plans for Gloucester City’s new stadium at Meadow Park are to be displayed to thousands of visitors at Gloucester Quay’s Food Festival in July.\r\n\r\nOn Sunday 20th July, club officials will in the main mall at Gloucester Quays with large scale drawings of the plans and will be on hand to answer questions from supporters and the general public.\r\n\r\nClub Marketing Manager Lee Mills, who has coordinated the event, is delighted by the opportunity.\r\n\r\n”Gloucester Quays have been fantastic in letting us use the mall on one of their busiest days of the year,” said Mills.\r\n\r\n”This will give us a brilliant opportunity to engage with our fan-base and the wider public where we will be able to answer any questions we can and take on board comments people may have.\r\n\r\n”The supporters have been great since the plans have been submitted; writing letters of support and promoting the petition.\r\n\r\n”We really do appreciate the need to work together to see this scheme through to completion”.\r\n\r\nThe Tigers have been without a home since July 2007, but plans for a new stadium at Meadow Park were submitted to the City Council earlier this month.\r\n\r\nLetters and email of support have been submitted to the council’s planning department and an online petition has already attracted 1,300 signatures in a matter of days.\r\n\r\nGloucester City’s plans for the new stadium will be available to view in the mall at Gloucester Quays on Sunday 20th July from 10am.
