Gloucester City can confirm the loan signing for Cheltenham Town youngster Joe Hanks on a one month deal.\r\nThe transfer is the second in as many days for City boss Tim Harris after securing Exeter City winger Jake Gosling on Thursday evening.\r\nThe shock departure of midfielder Darren Mullings sped up the deal to sign Gloucester-born Hanks who will go straight into the squad for Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday.\r\nManager Harris is delighted that Hanks has joined the club and believes he will be a huge asset over the next month.\r\n“I had earlier in the week originally discussed with Mark Yates about a loan period for Joe Hanks when Jordan Goddard’s loan expired after next Tuesday,” commented Harris.\r\n“Due to the illness of Matt Groves (Tonsillitis) and Darren leaving so soon, I am delighted Joe will be joining up with us for tomorrow’s trip to Gainsborough Trinity.\r\n“He is an elegant midfielder with an eye for goal and played well against us on Monday evening in the Gloucestershire County Cup.”\r\n“John Brough spoke highly of him when he recently had a successful spell at Bishop’s Cleeve and Joe will add quality to the squad, and I am sure we will both benefit from the move.”
