Gloucester City will play host to Sky Bet League One side Bristol Rovers as part of our 2017 pre-season schedule.
We will host Darrell Clarke’s Rovers side at Slimbridge’s Thornhill Park on Saturday 15 July with a 15:00 kick-off.
The Gas finished last season just outside the play-offs in League One, after Clarke guided his side to their second consecutive promotion in 2015/16, where they finished 3rd in League Two following promotion from the Vanarama National League the season previously.
We can also confirm that we will kick-off our pre-season schedule as the away side at Evesham United’s Jubilee Stadium.
The Tigers will be playing their home games at Evesham’s Jubilee Stadium for the 2017/18 season after our groundshare agreement with Cheltenham Town came to an end at the conclusion of the 2016/17 National League North season.
On Saturday 8 July, Tim Harris’ side will take on their landlords for the upcoming campaign in a repeat of the pre-season clash in July 2016, where the two teams played out an entertaining 1-1 draw.
Four days later we will make a trip to face off against a side managed by an iconic former Tigers player, as we travel to the Webb’s Wood Stadium to take on Swindon Supermarine on Tuesday 11 July.
Marine are managed by former Tigers midfielder Dave Webb, who made 225 appearances for City between 1990 and 1999.
Admission prices will be announced in due course.
