Gloucester City AFC are pleased to announce Striker Rhys Kavanagh has joined us on a month long loan from Bristol Rovers.

Rhys is a 19 year old centre forward, who scored 28 times in 32 appearances for Newport County’s under 18’s before his move to Bristol Rovers in October 2017 and has since gained National League experience at Bath City.

On his appointment First Team Manager Marc Richards had this to say,

“ It’s great that we’ve been able to bring Rhys in, we’ve got a lot of games in the next month so he gives us that extra bit of squad depth. We know he’s a natural finisher and has come in to bolster our attacking options. He trained well with the team Thursday and will be in the squad tomorrow to face Chippenham Town.”

We want to extend our warmest welcome to Rhys and wish him the very best of luck for tomorrow’s game.

Gloucester City play Chippenham Town tomorrow at the Jubilee Stadium, Evesham. Kick off 15:00.
