Gloucester City striker Joe Parker has been nominated for the FA Cup Player of the Round for the Third Qualifying Round after his antics in the Tigers’ 7-0 victory over Yate Town.

Joe, who had only scored once before for City,netted a 20-minute hat-trick during the game, which was a replay after a nailbiting 2-2 draw at Yate’s Lodge Road.

\r\n

A product of the Gloucester City Youth system, Parker, 18, made his breakthrough late last season and after a loan spell at Shortwood United, but he is now making his name for himself at City.

The winner will receive a commemorative Player of the Round trophy and he will also be invited to the FA Cup Final at Wembley next May.
