Gloucester City are pleased to welcome striker Harry White to the club from Banbury United on a permanent deal.\r\n\r\nThe 19-year-old has been on trial recently at Conference Premier side Bristol Rovers, scoring against the Tigers in the Pirates’ Gloucestershire Senior Cup victory.\r\n\r\nWhite, who lives in Stratford-upon-Avon, only returned to the country at the beginning of the month after playing college football in Illinois netting 38 times in 25 appearances to lead his side to an NCAA Regional Championship.\r\n\r\nThe young forward is happy to join the Tigers and is revelling in the opportunity.\r\n\r\n“I’m really pleased to have joined Gloucester City and look forward playing for the club,” said White.\r\n\r\n“It is a really good step in my career and I can’t wait to get going”\r\n\r\nTigers boss Tim Harris believes that White has what it takes to be a success at the club.\r\n\r\n“Harry really fits the bill, he is young, hungry and a big lad. He has an eye for goals and more importantly has a great desire to be a successful,” explained Harris.\r\n\r\n“Anyone who came to the Gloucestershire Senior Cup match will have seen him play, and he really impressed me with his pace, strength and eye for goal.”\r\n\r\n“I spoke to Darrell Clarke at Bristol Rovers a couple of days after our match and he was also quite impressed with him, though was looking at taking a striker with a bit more experience.”\r\n\r\n“We’ve only got Joe Parker for another fortnight more so we needed to bring someone in for the long run and Harry is an exciting talent.”\r\n\r\nWhite will be involved with the Tigers squad for the trip to Lowestoft Town this weekend.\r\n\r\n
