Ian Compton, Chairman of Gloucester City Supporters Trust has issued the following statement.

It is with sadness and regret that the supporters of Gloucester City Football Club today learned of the resignation Tim Harris.

The dedication, commitment and enthusiasm shown by Tim in his time at Gloucester City will forever be appreciated by everyone connected with the club. Tim’s passion for this club is unlikely to be replicated and the achievements of last season – finishing 10th in arguably the most competitive league in non-league football – typifies his qualities as a top class manager.

On a personal note, I have known Tim for a long time and whilst respecting his reasoning behind his decision, I, like all supporters, was devastated by the news.

Finally, on behalf of the supporters of Gloucester City, I thank Tim for his efforts and wish him every success for the future. He will be sorely missed.

Ian Compton
Chairman of Supporters Trust
