Gloucester City Football Club is pleased to welcome back striker Scott Wilson to the club for the 2014/2015 campaign.\r\n\r\nThe 21-year-old left the Tigers in mid-January to join Conference South side Bath City, but ended the season as Gloucester City’s second joint top goalscorer behind Charlie Griffin.\r\n\r\nThe Bristol-born forward has had two spells with the club, scoring 9 times in 21 starts with 44 overall appearances, including a memorable last gasp winner away at Leamington.\r\n\r\nWilson is looking forward to the challenge at a club he considers to be his ‘second home’.\r\n\r\n“I always set high expectations collectively and individually,” said Wilson.\r\n\r\n“Though I know last season wasn’t the greatest I believe Gloucester City as a club and a team are more than good enough to be a force in this league.”\r\n\r\n“Personally I’d like to play consistently when I get the chance and I’m hopeful I can score goals to help the club go to where it should be.”\r\n\r\n“Tim Harris has had a great influence in me signing for the club as he himself has high expectations of not only himself but the club, staff and players and broke down how the club is moving forward and gave me confidence in how he feels I could be a part of that.”\r\n\r\n“I’m delighted to have signed for the year as a lot of the squad has stayed the same and I get on really well with the lads and staff.”\r\n\r\n“Though the club also has a great support network, the professionalism of the club is second to none and that is due to everybody involved.\r\n\r\n“My past experiences at the club have made the club feel like a second home to me, there has definitely had ups and downs, however I wouldn’t change them as I’ve learnt so much and they can definitely help me for this coming year.”\r\n\r\nTigers boss Harris is pleased to welcome Wilson back and believes that under his tutelage he can improve as a player.\r\n\r\n”I am pleased to welcome Scott back to the club I have had several meetings with him, I needed to be sure that he had the desire to match what I was looking for to move the club forward, he is hungry to do well.\r\n\r\n“Scott is undoubtedly an extremely talented young lad and he knows exactly what is expected of him.\r\n\r\n“Credit where credit is due he was very honest he has an awful lot to learn and I am sure along with Matt Rose and Marc Richards we can continue to improve him as a player.”
