Gloucester City Football Club are pleased to confirm that Sam Avery and Jasbir Singh have both signed contracts to stay with the club for the 2016/17 season.\r\n\r\nAvery, 27, was voted the Gloucester City Supporters Player of the Season for 2015/16 after some solid performances at the centre of the Tigers back line.\r\n\r\nThat back line was one of the toughest in Tigers history, only conceding 49 goals in the National League North season – which ranked as the fifth best defence in the league.\r\n\r\nManager Tim Harris was happy to see Avery sign a new deal, saying “Sam Avery is very much part of our family having progressed through the youth set up before returning to the club 2 years ago.\r\n\r\n”He has developed into a solid dependable player and I am delighted he sees his future at Gloucester City.”\r\n\r\nSingh, 26, signed for the Tigers on a permanent basis at the start of the 2015/16 season after his release from Kidderminster Harriers.\r\n\r\nA highly-rated shot stopper, Singh is a fans favourite at the club after keeping 13 clean sheets for the season – just six shy of the all-time record for Gloucester City.\r\n\r\nHarris says “Jasbir has been excellent for us all season.
